  1. It's more an appreciation of "R" as other marque's don't really do it

  2. Far too much going on on that particular 999, lose all the stickers and give the poor thing it's red tank back and it would start to look like it should again.

  3. Because like their 959 V R6 (which is the old long termer R6 with full Nitron cartridges in the front) they are testing whatever they can get their hands on, and struggling for content.

I have a subscription because I got bought it for Christmas but I just cringe reading all there 'goes like a dirty cow on heat' type comments, it's just grim. I'm no prude but just keep it real... I am loving that new Retro RR mag though, In other news, and I think Practical Sportsbikes is the best mag now incorporating performance bikes.

  4. Amazing how they can get the launch model year wrong - and the value! £20-£30K Coolio

  5. That 999 is a bit cosmetically challenged with all the nasty gold tat on it.
I do however want his Gilles chain adjusters...

  6. Fair enough. I don’t think I’ve cost them any sales. :innocent:

  7. I've never understood why people take pictures of the stand side of their bike; it's by far the ugly sister to the other side. Maybe that's jus my ocd and no one else gives two hoots (except the owls).

  8. I don't suppose it makes a difference with the 999.

  9. Not always

  10. Agree. BTW, I ordered from here: https://classicmagazines.co.uk/subscription/FB/fast-bikes

It was a little cheaper than buying locally even with the postage. And because of the postage, I bought a couple of other mags also ;) And regarding timing, I ordered the august number from here before the July number even arrived to my local shop (where I bought it)... Unfortunately, still not arrived, not sure why it's taking so long.

I must say, as the writing style of Finnish journalists is extremely dry, I don't by any Finnish magazines and much prefer the Fast Bikes style. On the other hand, I also have the Retro RR mag at home, and really like the Practical Sportbikes. It's just a shame, that in bike mags when it's about older bikes, it feels like there's a lot of the same bikes all the time, and it's the bikes you can find info and buyers guides etc. everywhere anyway.

  11. I thought they were called gallows?

  12. Headline is shorter than ‘999r compared to the modern equivalent V4r’
