British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  5. As it states in the top left corner in French,"Strike".
Why they are striking I don't know or care, but for people touring France at the time it might have come in useful.
Also illustrates that there is a certain amount of unhappiness amongst the French labour force.

  6. We have been really good at "de-industrialising" ourselves since the end of WW2 without the need for help from Nazi/EU conspirators (no doubt based under the ice in the Antarctic or on the dark side of the moon).

We've had all the help we needed from Eton posh boys who decided that the stock market was more lucrative than making stuff, under trained British manager that couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag, intransigent unions, dire quality control, lack of vision etc etc etc etc.
Here's a few that we used to be really good at:-

Motorcycle industry - business lost to the Japanese and British shit products and complacency
    Cars - ditto
Ship building - Lost to the Koreans and Japanese and British complacency
Railways (locomotives, rolling stock and lines) - Lost to the French, Germans and Japanese as we took so fucking long to move from steam to diesel to electric (which then formed the basis of high speed rail)
Aviation/aerospace. Lost to the US (before the emergence of Airbus Ind).
Machine tools - lost to the Germans and Japanese as they invested in technology and we didn't.
Light manufacturing (machinery to support hosiery, shoe, furniture industries, etc) - lost to the Japanese and Germans
Steel production, lost to the US and Chinese
Chemicals, lost to the US and Belgians(!)
Oil production - lost to the Norwegians
    Petroleum distribution, lost the Dutch
Fresh food and meat production, lost to the Dutch, Danish and Spanish though lack of vision and investment.

I could go on and on.

All the above were areas that we used to lead the world in..........now gone..........through our own complacency and through our own doing (or lack thereof) . Nothing to do with ridiculous Nazi conspiracies.

  7. Or maybe that plan is working to plan ? Might not be a conspiracy after all o_O

  8. Yes - maybe the Nazis parachuted in a division or two of incompetent British managers and union leaders in the final days of WW2. All dressed in pin striped suits (or donkey jackets) and doing silly walks...

  12. I think it is genetically bred into germans that once they join politics, a genome is switched on to want to conquer europe in some way

Brits on the other hand seem to have it genetically engineered in to them to go to aya napa, get shit faced, shag the fat girls, take drugs then jump off balconies.
