Sureal day yesterday....normal friday in work. Dell engineer turns up to repair a laptop....while he replacing the motherboard we get chatting and i mention where im from - he replies...i used to live there too...turns out hes 2 years younger than me so we were in school at the same time....i roll off milestone moments in school to which he verifies and brought back load of memories (and stuff that he reminded me of) - ie my mate being in charge of car parking on parents evening and directing the traffic in through the front gate and then back out through the back gate...very funny (copped a week of detentions for that)...him being in the local youth house an hour after my mate thew one of my home made throwing stars (made in the school workshop with case hardened ends) at the flourescent lights (we had to split fast)...etc etc - list goes on... He lived nextdoor but one to one of the technology teachers...(reckoned he had a biplane in his back garden - absolute nutter) - used to throw chisels at you if he caught you talking... Nostalgic...did put me in a good mood for the rest of the day...
I’ve just been cleaning the windows and vacuuming in readiness for our get together with the new neighbours tomorrow. We’re now going out to lunch as a pat on the back
Passed but with an advisory....head bearings have become notchy so, went from the MOT place down to Fowlers to get some head bearings....luckily in stock...front end off tomorrow.
Indicators don’t fit. Exhaust doesn’t fit. Battery utterly dead. Plastics will need adaption. All day and seem to have only actually identified what wires are for which indicator and extended the wires they cut (for why I still don’t know!!) at the track.
