We had some of the new neighbours round for drinks and nibbles. It seemed to go quite well given most came round between 3/3.30pm and didn’t leave till gone 11pm. We’ve still got lots of food left, which I’m having to eat all week now :/

Had the car to the garage today with a miss fire/stumble just off tick over, a lack of performance and increased fuel use. I`m thinking throttle potentiometer, coil pack, maybe an injector. Oh no, this problem child of a car can do better than that, much, much better. Low compression on two cylinders . The readings are, cylinders 1-4, 220psi, 80psi, 220psi and 135psi. These readings go up with a wet test so it`s rings/pistons/bores, another engine is apparently the most economical fix . New problem, it`s only a poxy 1.4 16v Punto but parts seem to be hard to get, from anywhere but the main dealers. "1.2 8v Punto, no problem sir, parts are plentyful. 1.4 16v Punto????? we don`t have owt for one of them fella." It failed its MOT last month on a leaking exhaust flexi pipe, no problem you may think. Oh no, the exhaust is one piece, front to back, I tried every tyre and exhaust place I could think of but no, Fiat bless `em, haven`t released the patent for my cars exhaust so the only place to get one was........... the main dealers, £700 + fitting. The garage that did the MOT took pity on me when I told them how much Fiat wanted, they cut the old flexi out and replaced it with a generic flexi pipe, £60 fitted including retest. I hate cars
Soaked the shower head thingy in lime scale remover.. been meaning to do this for about 2 years.. turned out that it cost £1.50 and took 20 mins. Now the water aims downwards again and not over the shower curtain... Who would have thought it was so simple? And there was me about to spend £10 on a new shower head thingy.. In other less boring news, @kev moose dropped a 749 engine to me this afternoon!!! Diamond!!! Cracking bloke .. good chit chat. Happy as fuck I am... Obviously I still have to swap it out and break stuff but I'm on the road to being back ... Errrr.... On the road....
