That sounds like the EU can have minimum terms but the U.K. can’t, the U.K. has to meet the EU demands ? W4nker
The UK can leave without a deal; the EU have already said that. What the UK are trying to do is to negotiate a new deal with the EU: this is where the minimum terms apply (the four pillars) and the EU have said, from the start, that you cannot "cherry pick" which ones you want. It was the UK's idea to leave the EU and to then negotiate a new deal. I think a lot of people are losing sight of this...
OMG, you Poopyhead. It was the electorate's idea to leave the EU. It was the Government's idea to keep the UK in the EU and to create the fiction that a "leaving deal" was the sine qua non of the Brexit process. When, oh when, will you start paying bloody attention? : o D.
You mean you can insult, and when someone retaliates with a lil light heartedness you cry - have you seen your 1st post on this thread crazy dude (since you wrote it btw)
Surely a trade deal after Brexit won't alter the fact the EU can put a hard border up and wreck the Good Friday agreement? that's not in the UK or USA's hands...
Isn’t the above article a rewrite of this one from yesterday UK 'first in line' for US trade deal, says John Bolton https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-49325620 BBC must have run out of ideas
For you Ecoterriosts out there (remainers or Brexiteer's) .... the EU has a tonnage quota of refrigeration gases...... gradually reducing each year to increase the per Kg cost, reduce wastage and encourage recycling. The UK gets 18% of the total EU quota.... Come BREXIT the EU is saying that will end... We have said NO... we get 18% and you get the 82% remaining.... Nooooo they have said.... I've a feeling that come BREXIT there will be a magic quota for the EU Area (as was) of 118%...... Stuff that in your teenage Yacht* and sail that to the UN! *my spell check corrected that to Twat!!!!... even Microsoft agrees!
I'm not sure if its a rewrite, though it might be an update based on new accurate information? That Bolton chap has a name in some circles of being somewhat over eager, and economical with the truth. So perhaps does Pelosi; but I think she has the legislative power & Bolton does not?
A quick read through both and there isn’t anything new in today’s article that I can see. Basically moved the Pelosi bit to the top and changed the title. ( is journalism really that easy ?). Not really sure what the point of the articles is, other than he said U.K. first in line for a trade deal and she said not if the GFA is damaged.
I haven't read yesterdays article. I think the point of this one is that there will not be a quick trade deal with the USA if the GFA is adversely (in the view of the HoR) affected, regardless of anything Bolton has said.
Point of order: Why would the BBC be in possession of "new accurate information"? For what purpose? Further obfuscation? Anyway, carry on.
Point of order: it was 52% of those who voted, or 37.5% of the electorate, or approximately 25% of the population whose idea it was to leave the EU And if you think that the current Government is capable of delivering anything, then you need to start paying attention
