You saw them for a couple of years before they disolved.

 

Captain Pugwash is my phone's ringtone. I've had it for that long, I forget about it. Until it rings in a supermarket checkout queue and I hear people laughing.

 

The Datsun company had to fold, after two of their aircraft carrying engine parts collided in mid-air.

Yep, it was raining Datsun cogs that day.

 

What?

People used to appreciate that kind of joke in the 70's!

 

Surely it would have been gearboxes?

Anyway, the Datsun brand is still very popular in Russia and some parts of the far east and was relaunched some years ago. The stigma remains in the UK and Europe, hence why it's not sold here.

 

Wasn’t there a Japanese car called a Colt ?

 

You still can - its one of the only reasons Snap On sell so well to the trade..

 

Colt Lancer, that's the boy, same colour as well, then I think he bought a Vauxhall Firenza but it might have been the other way round. The Firneza looked smart but sitting in the back was effin purgatory.
