Not a direct replacement, no. Are you wanting to change it from hydraulic to a cable? Seems a lot of hassle for no reward as you would need a new lever and perch, and somewhere to locate the other end of the bowden cable near the engine to allow it to pull which would need to be fabricated.
I'm just after info that this will bolt up to where the original hydraulic slave cyl would fit, same bolt pattern etc. Everything else will be easy enough to do(famous last words!!).I'm just toying with the idea at the moment.
I tried to fit a DS 1000 clutch slave to a 900 engine and it didn't fit. So I'm going to be bold and guess "no" as assume this will be made for the more modern and more common engines. Happy to be corrected.
I think that's only a pushrod length discrepancy though? slave ought to fit on engine, I can't see why they would change the pitch of holes etc.
I found this on one of the forums, I thought it would open up the can of worms again!! Here something unusual..on Sean Emmets 2001 998RS ..cable-clutch conversion...
