British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. That's why I think it is not recent and may have been some time ago

  2. use John Curitices site. I have the info infront of me. but I rather you worked a lil. and that includes the bojo and whats her names bounce. exe

  3. You've moved the goalposts Finderman. :) You said they would gain +17 seats, I said I'd bet you they wouldn't. Now you are trying to bet on "Big gains" whatever that means, plus you want to make a donation to the SNP. For whatever it's worth, I think there is every chance the SNP will gain some seats at the next GE, maybe even "Big gains"

So I'll offer you it again. I'll have a charity bet with you that the SNP won't gain +17 seats at the next GE. If it scares you, let's say a token £20 to a worthy charity of each others choice, not a political party.

    ? :)

  5. If I had a mortgage I would have bet it on @noobie and @Exige not agreeing with the above.

Apparently winning 50+ seats out of 56 doesn’t mean anything. I would not be surprised if the SNP poll close to 50% at the next GE. Green Party voters will lend their vote for sure, and the pro Indy vote is rising all the time

Now what was it Thatcher said?

  9. I think she said if more than 50% of seats where won by pro indi partys then they would have the right to negotiate indi. but that was when they where sure it couldn't be done.
it wasn't necessary what I was wanting 10 years ago. but its deffo what we need for the next good while. you guys, especially exe, need space to work out who you are and yer place in this world.

  11. aye, you will be welcome. I could change that crank for you. properly. and for not the most you have ever paid for a similar repair

  12. My cranks are fine cranky fin :p

  13. That's an easy one.

The SNP doesn't want to be independent of the UK, it just wants to campaign for independence.

In this way, they are guaranteed a certain voting block and not just that, they can use the threat of Independence against Westminster in order to negotiate more perks, more privileges, more concessions. Not only that but - when they make major mistakes, as they do, the SNP can always blame Tories! Westminster!! for them and thus escape culpability.

As well as cynically manipulating a chunk of their voters, the SNP are Remainders at heart - fearful, unconfident, in need of a safety net. We know this because the SNP doesn't want Independence (as seen above), they want more autonomy whilst they "live in the parents' basement". What's better than having a safety net? Having two safety nets, thus the SNP are desperate to stay both in the UK and the EU.

Damn clever them SNP folk, devious so they are.
