Tonight, we are off to a, pre tour of northern Spain and Portugal, BBQ social get together for the people going and their partners. For a reason I have yet to have explained to me, I’ve been nominated the tour catering manager so I’ve just sliced some Aubergine and left it marinading in Soy sauce, Mirin wine vinegar, honey, olive oil and garlic and prepared a pat of garlic butter to fill some large cup mushrooms which will all go on the BBQ alongside the more traditional burgers and sausages. I’m told that most of them are traditional meat eaters so the Aubergine and mushrooms will be something different and a foretaste of what to expect when we go out to eat on the tour. (That’ll learn ‘em to stitch me up ha, ha, haaaa) Andy
