Boris's motion to call for an election is to be brought again on Monday apparently. Assuming he is actually telling the truth; given the recent ruling on bringing identical motions, surely he should retain his one remaing chance until there is a chance it could actually happen?
Doesn’t the count reset to zero when a new session begins (After the prorogation)? Plus, it wastes some more time in the Commons.
Fuck that, I wouldn't want the job at the best of times, let alone now! Anyway, they can't afford my day rate.
Boris has answered a reporter asking him if he would go back to the EU and ask for an extension by saying, no I would rather be dead in a ditch.!!
I think the count will be zeroed in a new term, however the prorogation may yet be annuled. Another motion will waste ever more time in the HoC, though Boris might be better off using all the time at his disposal to learn how to string a speech together. He was dreadful yesterday at Westminster whilst today under little pressure still managed to warble on like a fat duck. Hunt might be best described by his namesake anatomical name, but he can give coherent speeches!
serious answer. throughout the whole process, the extreme remainers have been receiving funding and expertise from the eu. Firstly before the vote so we would remain, and everyday since to make sure the peoples democratic majority vote would never be carried out, with May they had their wish granted. In next years mp's expenses, expect to see many costs of "trips to brussels" I genuinely believe he wants to get this done but he's also a realist in that he knows the deal the eu offered would never be accepted by the U.K. so leaving with a clean break was always the only option and the option the eu only ever wanted I believe he thinks he can achieve a clean break and then mop up everything else in the moving forward future relationship agreement and then in a way that leaves him a true legacy. I don't care if he looks back at his career and has a high point with brexit. I do care that the eu is now controlling the U.K. now more than it ever has, even though we voted to leave and parliament is refusing to carry it out. I believe the eu knows Boris was more intent and could have carried it out in a way May never would, I wouldn't count him and his team out yet
