I was having this very discussion today with a few colleagues I genuinely think this has been gamed for months, sounds tin hat I know, but I heard an Interview on the radio from a chap that wrote a book on Johnson, and one of the things he quoted as making him tick was that BJ likes to be in the corner and works best fighting his way out, it's 'his comfort zone' as the writer put it. Now the other thing I think 'may' have been gamed (and agreed) is somewhere back down the line it's plausible that Trump, Farrage and Johnson have all discussed this along with their strat teams, I reckon you'll see a more conciliatory tone between Johnson and Farrage toward the back end of an election campaign. Simple math, if the country is split circa 50/50 between remain or leave and 3 parties are trying to pitch towards remainers carving up that pie (Lib Dem / Lab / Green), and 2 are pitching leave voters (Con /Brexit party) then its not rocket science to envisage a coming together of the pair. What's weird is the media don't seem to be considering this.....maybe it's just a shit theory
if extreme remainers , who have been losing their shit since 2016, end up with a Boris prime minister, a farrage deputy prime minister and with a trade deal with trump whilst having a clean break from the eu !!!!!!! Then I'm contacting Xi Jinping and ordering as many of these before they sell out, I'll be a billionaire
The media is not the media anymore. There's no one in the MSM doing investigative journalism - unless it is digging around to promote the globalist agenda. Even then, "investigative journalism" these days is facile, misguided or just plain wrong. Yes Carole Catwhalloper, I'm looking at you. I have yet to see evidence that BoJob is anything other than a fifth columnist for the EU who is meant as a sop to comfort Brexiteers but who will ultimately betray Leave. I'll be delighted to be proved wrong. As things stand, unless there is a literally seamless alliance between Tory and Brexit Party, these two elements serve only to ensure Brexit is foiled. By splitting the vote of leavers, it plays into the hands of the EU element in British politics. I don't trust the Tory Party with Brexit and I remained convinced that Brexit will only happen if the Tories are supplanted by The Brexit Party. Fat chance of that.
Its not shit theory at all. The media is totally pro the Tories with exception of the Guardian who are not pro Tory, but are certainly not pro Corbyn either. This media won't be promoting the idea that the Torys won't be able to win on their own, they are much more likely to proclaim "Landslide Victory for Bojo expected" every day until the election is called and the arguing over the coalition begins.
Sacking all those MP's- some of whom are a large part of the Tory establishment- will hurt Bojo sooner or later, its only a question of how hard they will come down on him - unless he is able to bring a huge victory with a solid majority.
He's got no choice. If he allows them to run again, they'll vote against Brexit, so he's all but lost the seat anyway. Best to start again and have an MP who will stand on the manifesto. If Hammond, Greive et al want to stand as independents or join another party on a stop Brexit manifesto, they have that option.
Don’t forget that he won the leadership contest against Jeremy Hunt with over two thirds of the ballot, following a campaign of LEAVE on 31st October 2019, “Do or die!”
