This videos on every bike related Facebook page going atm. By the looks of it I'm pretty sure it's a lack of the basics, slow speed bike control.
Might not be his bike either, couldn't see a no. plate and looked like he might have had a trade plate on his back. Was it a dealer having a sly pre delivery test ride? If so how did he explain to the new owner?
or it could be a machine fault, rough low speed running causing a stall. Don't say we haven't all been caught out! My panigale stalled a few times when I least expected it! Fortunately I didn't drop the bike on any occasion. Poor sod.
Reminds me of the guy selling a bike... Buyer: "What's the lowest you can go" Seller: "two miles an hour, otherwise you fall off"
I'm pretty sure we've all done that, lack of concentration, not enough revs and over she goes. The comment on no number plate, the beemer that seemed to be with him didn't seem to have a plate either?
holy crap, that makes it even worse. If that was my bike he dropped I don't know how I would respond A number of years ago a guy I knew at the time had his Porsche 993 RS in for a service. The mechanic took it for a road test, despite the owner saying no road tests, and launched it over a roundabout
Probably why those who got early deliveries (before the paint was sorted, allegedly) have taken their wrapped bikes back to get them painted
Have to remember that it's just thoughts and speculation by myself so mustn't crucify the rider just yet, remember it could also be a bonafide motor trader who has taken delivery of his new bike but not registered it - shouldn't be out on trade plates though I believe. Important to try and keep an open mind until we know the real circumstances.
Still think the Chrome is hideous, completely hideous, as are those open pipes that are like a drain pipe and offer no 'tone' to the bike. for me I would have the carbon with the more traditional Arrow silencer, if I had the proverbial pot to piss in.... Infact would I for £40k.. there's other much cooler bikes out there for less, like a 1098/1198R, last model 998R, SL 1199... All IMHO are cooler bikes.
