  1. At last - a nice day!!!

Since buying my 848 in January, the day before the snow came, i have just had a really good rideout to see how the 848 compares to my old 999! What a machine! Absolutely love it!!

Just one downside........the reserve light came on after 60 miles of (reasonably) steady riding!!
Anyone else getting these figures?? Maybe i need to get it in for a bit of a tune up??!!

    All in all,very happy!!

  2. Those petrol figures seem to be about right. They tend to be pretty thirsty in my experience

  3. Moved to Superbike

  4. Seems a little low, as even on track I get to 50 before light comes on, road normally 70-90. You must have been enjoying yourself too much ;-)

  5. glad it's not just me that doesn't get much from a tank full.

  6. My light comes on about 70-80'ish

  7. 60 is pretty low. 80 for me if its spirited riding. A bit lower on track

  8. You should get about 100 before light comes on. Mine normally comes on at 110

  9. I have the Termis fitted (with the baffles out naturally!) if that makes any difference to fuel economy at all??

  10. I have a full system and can easily get 80 before the light. Either you're redlining it in every gear or something could be amiss. 60 does seem low. That's D16RR territory!

probably a silly question but it was full when you went out?

  11. It was a normal rideout with a couple of good blasts on clear road and i was lead rider with 2 mates that didnt know the roads,so wasnt a full on thrash. Oh, and the tank was full too - did a visual check before i set off. Will see how long my next tankfull lasts!! Fingers crossed it was just a one off - somehow!!

  12. Mine is coming on at 70 at the mo, think I have a sender issue as it was always 80 plus unless really on it. Rode 25 miles, about as far as I would ever want to with he light on, and only managed 10l. So I'm going back to old fashioned mileage based and see what happens...

  13. So you're running it in, then?

  14. Other way round i think!! The bike was running me in!!

  15. 2.5 ltrs more in one of these

  16. Yeah...deffo too few mpg there somehow.....u got a leak?

  17. Did you fill it up after? How many litres did it take?

  18. Usually get 90 - 100 out of mine before the light comes on, give or take a few. That was using the Super unleaded too, found that tends to do more miles to a tank than the regular stuff.

  19. +1 on that^^^

  20. It took 10.32 litres when i filled it up so still another 5L left in the tank. I will try the super unleaded next time and see how much of a difference that makes!

    :upyeah:
