I dunno, every special/limited/factory... edition nowadays are getting expensive. I think the interesting bit will be, if in 20-30 years time, these will be the Renault 5 Turbos (not the 5 GT Turbos) with high values, or Clio 16V/Clio Sports, good examples can still be bought for normal/cheap money. Usually though, with Renault there isn't enough people willing to pay a lot of money for them, so the values drop instantly, and it takes an exceptional car to start rising in value. The Megane doesn't have any racing pedigree, just a record lap.
Now you could lap Nuremberg 40 seconds faster than the previous prettier version. Too bad that costs an additional 50 grand - 1250 per second!
Well done to Renault for bringing out super fast hot hatches which forces other manufacturers to follow suit
