1200 Enduro Clutch Lever

  1. Chaps, on the clutch lever is the bit that pushes on the piston an adjuster or is it meant to be screwed all the way in? IMG_20190920_154554.jpg

  2. It is an adjustment made by the factory. If you screw it in too much, it will have more play, if you screw it in not enough it will cause a slip and a possible damage. You have to follow the trial&error path for it. Pay attention, it is important ;)

  3. Great thanks Neo, should there be a lock nut on it?

  4. No. There a is a tiny Allen/hex head grub screw to lock it in place.

  5. Oh right, haven't found that yet!

  6. Centre of the pivot that the pin screws into. If you have managed to remove the pin without damaging the thread on it (as appears in you photo) then the grub screw is probably missing.

  7. Thanks for that, yeah it was very loose. I'm not near it at the moment but I'll check for grubs tomorrow.

  8. It was probably without any loctite on it. It is a very very little allen screw, you can’t put much force on it.

  9. Confirmed, there was no grub screw. I've put it back together now with some Loctite on the adjuster and the clutch is feeling much better already (bite point further out). The span adjuster's seized in so I've ordered some aftermarket folding levers. These levers look like they've been attacked by salt or brake fluid anyway ...
