  1. Get the aprillia cos all that will happen is you will join the rest of the panigale midget crew in moaning you can’t touch the floor and spending 200 quid on a lowered seat made of squirrels testicle fur or whatever it is Lol

  2. Only if it's the JHP one.

  3. John hackett actually has a squirrel farm at his home which his bang tidy daughter tends to. She shaves the squirrels twice yearly to make jhp seats at 3 k a pop. Super grippy seats

  4. Out of them 2 ad be buying a 1299 base as there same money a 1199s is fetching and better than an old rsv4

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  5. I would go 1199 of those 2. Base 1299 is better. I have one with updated suspension

How about the BMW S1000RR. Much better bike than the Aprilia

  6. Unless you want italian, s1000rr or zx10r is the kiddie really at 7k budget

  7. I hadn’t considered a 1299 as I’d thought they were still up around £12k whereas 1199s are now £10k ish (though I dithered and missed out on one for £8k last winter) and a base 1199 £8k ish.

Apart from the extra CCs and grunt, what is the difference between an 1199 and a 1299?

I wouldn’t have the BMW, as I don’t like the looks and it’s an IL4.

  8. I used to hate inline 4’s with a passion and then I had a go on one of them
Big Bang r1’s and nearly jizzed my pants at the sound and handling of it.
Problem is they are usually owned by people with one gold tooth who eat at kfc and work at car phone warehouse

  9. The only 4 I would have is BB R1 but a bit like why I got rid of my BMW M3 a few years back, I’m not keen on the rude boy demographic they’re associated with

  10. From reviews, both here and publications, handling is more neutral and better (easier!) on 1299 and the motor is bigger for torque and better road bike for it

  13. aprilia is worse in seat height.

  14. My cousins seat wasn’t tall at all, was late one if that changes anything?
But dead sexy when on full chat banging through the gears.

  15. I’ve owned both of these and I would go for the RSV4 all day long.

  16. The early one had cams made of cheese. I've heard of one gearbox doing one as well.

  18. i believe the 1299 would be the better option, not so much for the power, but the electronics and handling. certainly for flinging about around a track,

  19. Thanks for the replies everyone.

I was doing a bit more research last night and it looks like the Aprilla only had the APRC electronics from 2012ish, and that’s the one I’m interested in. They’re more like £10k - ie: Pani money.

Please keep the comments and suggestions coming.
