  1. New Beastie in the collection. Only had a short run but it seems punchy & comfy. 600 miles to do now in 3 weekends (the first service is booked) so plenty of miles to adjust.

  6. Derek.
    Which crash protectors are those?
    Thanks :upyeah:

  7. They are Evo-Tech. I chose them because they fit to the engine mounting points and don't clamp to the frame.

  8. These?

Back in the day, I would routinely fit these; especially to my track bikes. More recently I suspected they had the potential to cause structural damage which may not occur without them & that sacrificing the fairings etc may be the lesser evil.

I lowsided my SS recently & the damage done is quite significant; I'm sure in this instance they would have helped a lot.

If it gets repaired, these will be on my Christmas list.

    Thanks. :upyeah:

  9. Yes, that's them. I also had a minor off last year but the damage to the bike, 3 fairing panels, a ding in the tank, mirror, bar end, rider footrest plate and a few other marks were going to have it written off. I managed to get a cash settlement with the insurers and repaired it myself with new and used parts and the bike wasn't recorded as a cat N.
If I had had the crash protectors fitted then the damage would have been much less.

  16. Stored in a corner of the kitchen till my new garage was completed. Complete with four-legged security devices!

  17. the mutts are looking a bit peeved is it because the Duke is hogging the radiator ?

  18. Probably! The bike never lasted in the kitchen for more than a few weeks and was then relegated to the hallway where (I think) it made such an attractive entrance ornament. Garage now built, so it has it's own proper place . . .
