British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. For Goat's sake, noobie.

If he wants there to be violence, just tell him there will be violence.

Make people happy for once in your life

  2. It offers a very deep insight into some remainers and how they would rather see brexit fail by sabotaging it just to say see, would rather see the speaker and mps ignore democratic votes and carry out a coup on the government and those democratic votes be seen as less important than a terrorists opinion or gun.

  3. Let’s give in to terrorists as we decided yesterday and accept an undemocratic future, hey, we could all go Mad Max, but the Ducati’s would have to go, we’d need more reliable turbo Z1’s, and lots more fuel (soz Greta Truentbird, Zhedz fault :eyes:)

  4. Eh? Is your ignorance wilful or do you just genuinely find it difficult to understand stuff?

Did you even read any of the linked articles?

  5. Actually you make a good connected point exi......I wonder

Do you think many extreme remainers might have lost their shit in y2k, convinced themselves the mayans were right in 2012, think the troubles will start again because of a democratic vote anddddd greta told us the world will end in 11 years

    I'm seeing a pattern :eyes::thinkingface::eyes:

  6. Clearly you know more than people with inside knowledge such as the Unionist politicians and the senior PSNI officer. How silly of me. Are they simply wrong about the facts or do they also get dismissed as extreme Remainers spreading propaganda??

However, I think you’ll find Yellowhammer also made the point, a document which was drafted by your rabidly Leave supporting government. Given that administration is led by a man who is almost as mendacious and ill equipped to deal with hard truths and complex issues as you are, I would have thought you’d take it reasonably seriously rather than dismissing it as scaremongering.

So......yet more ignorance and/or deceit from a Brextremist. I’m seeing a pattern too.

Meanwhile in other news: “Doug Bannister, the chief executive of the Port of Dover said the assumed drop in traffic would cut £1bn in trade every week. He said: “That’s how critical it is. If there’s a no-deal Brexit, it’s not going to be OK. But people are doing all they can to ensure Britain keeps trading.

More scaremongering? Or do you think you also think you know more than him about that issue as well?

  7. Your source is long out of date (don’t you know that 11 days is an eternity in this day and age?). I was citing what he said while speaking at the Tory conference about an hour ago!

It appears that he may have changed his mind, which rather than just stubbornly clinging on to a belief on regardless of the facts, is what intelligent people do when faced with a change of circumstances or information (see, by way of example “second referendum”)

  10. It’s ok. It’s actually kind of a psychological/sociological experiment to see whether it’s narcissism/pride or the comfort blanket of dogma which keeps them going in this stubborn quest.

This kind of reminds me how Noob approaches debate

  11. Same Doug bannister today https://dredgingandports.com/news/2019/port-of-dover-confirms-brexit-preparedness/

    oopsie

  12. It seems that the esteemed editor of that well known publication “Dredging and Ports Construction Monthly” is (perhaps not surprisingly) selectively reporting Mr Bannister’s speech. I realise subtlety and nuance isn’t your strong suit but it seems that you jumped on the headline without reading the article very carefully.

The article actually only quotes two passages:

Dover is a fast-pace [sic] operation unlike anywhere else and has been dubbed Britain’s just-in-time trade conveyor belt; but it is Ireland’s too with about 40% of Irish exports to the EU travelling via Dover. Business as usual means Dover as usual and that is what we have been working on.”

“Alongside ongoing major investment in our operational capacity, we’ve prepared for Brexit, working hard to ensure our assets are ready, critical spare parts stocked, and the right level of resources are in place.”

“Working on” or “working hard to” does not mean “have achieved”.....as the part of his speech I quoted seems to confirm!

    Oopsie :D

  13. Have another, interestingly he mentions

The CEO said there may be some drop-off in traffic immediately after Brexit because companies that built up stock will be able to run that down. That happened in the run-up to March 29, when volumes in the first quarter were over 5% higher than the previous year, while in the second quarter they were 9% lower.

It is interesting though to see you wriggle, one minute you are predicting the return of mass terrorism and the next we will be a banana republic and yet probably the two most qualified in regards to trade, the ceo's of dover and calais predict some disruption in the early days but “Once the rules of the game are known business will adapt, and they will adapt very, very swiftly,”

  14. Watch it McTroll, I’ve got me eyes on you

Aaaarggh: I’ve turned to stone o_O

  16.
  17. Wriggling? Lol. I only diverted from the theme of the Troubles to save you further embarrassment, and yet here you are again, denying reality in order to cling on to your ideology.

Firstly, again, you’re citing out of date sources.

Secondly, what part of “cut £1bn in trade every week” and “...it’s critical. If there’s a no deal Brexit it’s not going to be ok” seems optimistic to you?

I’m all for the power of positive thinking but honestly, you take it to another level.

  18. ideology? it was a democratic vote. I'm happy to abide by those

  19. Annnnnnddddddd..... full circle. All the way back to square one. God give me strength. Lol.

This process reminds me of another clip from that same film
