  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  2. Ah....I’m glad we “hold all the cards” as that’s exactly what that nice Mr Gove said in 2016 about our dealings with the EU generally and look how well that worked out!

Tbh, since BJ’s “we have no plans to prorogue Parliament” (immediately followed by the prorogation of Parliament) and “there are no press here” (said in full view of the press) and other bare faced lies and other assorted ridiculousness by his craven factotums and far right disciples, I’ve now moved from being very skeptical about whatever Leavers say to just hearing what they say and assuming that the true position is precisely the opposite.

So when a Brextremist says “We hold all the cards”, I just insert the word “don’t” and it makes life much easier.

What you say about the faecally incontinent Spanish mayor is probably correct (I think the Civ Servant told me that Gib unemployment is about 1% but local Spanish unemployment 25%) but you do realise that the mayor of a local town isn’t allowed to negotiate a separate trade deal with the UK, don’t you?

But anyway, if we hold all the cards, why don’t we have a deal yet? The Civ Servant certainly didn’t appear to think one was on the horizon. Or do you think you know more than he does?

  3. Awwww......There’s that self-pitying snowflake cry of “it’s everyone else’s fault!” again. And here was I thinking the great British right wing male was made of sterner stuff ;)

  4. why

@Zhed46 is correct. Back in the day before Russian Oligarchs were a thing you could map London house price inflation against london property prices, all the way down to my humble level.

  5. American constitution was mostly written by men from which country?

  6. As much as don’t think it’s a good idea to vote to be poorer or have fewer rights or to put it another way, self impose sanctions on the U.K., it’s what the majority want So that’s what should happen.

we have had a GE in the meantime and so we have the politicians we deserve. They have failed to arrange an orderly exit so WTO is what it should be.

That’s all fine. What is not fine is the usual suspects pretending that we are going to be living in the land of milk and honey where unicorns abound.

    :innocent::dizzy: <------ See :yum

  8. Would American be the clue? :D

  9. I've yet to see a politician who hasn't promised milk and honey "upto $130 a barrel" comes to mind ($59.25 is the price by the way) politicians are like ducati's, often breaking down, often unreliable but "they all do that sir".

What is more realistic is most leavers understood 2 things

the first 12-18 months would be a bit raggedy as we took back responsibility for services we used to pay a management company to do and secondly, we would build from that onwards. No one, even the countries who do not want us to leave, expects the impact on the UK to be long term.

Yeah, we wasted 3 years with a prime minister and most of the cabinet being remainers trying to keep us in but it is what it is. You can spend your life looking backwards or you can look forward and make it work.

The U.K. has a long history of taking chances when minny moaners try and sit with what they have become comfortable with so don't want change. I don't know any leaver who wants to be a rock star, I do know plenty of leavers who want to do what we have always done, punch above our weight, take our place at the world table and joining in.

    fixed that for you

  11. Yet another falsehood.

The Govt’s own predictions forecast a reduction of, if I recall correctly, something like between 4% and and 9% over the next 10 years, in income per capita compared to income per capita if we had stayed in the EU

Can’t recall if that’s based on assuming we leave with a deal or without one, but if it’s a forecast based on us getting a deal then I imagine the no deal forecast will be even worse.

  13. I see you forget to mention with your edit, the U.K. has been on of the largest contributors to governmental overseas aid only in second after the u.s. and the same for charity donations through charity donations.

We won't get kicked off the security council because (A) we are a nuclear power and (B) one of the 5 founding members, (C) the 5th largest contributor to the u.n.. for country haters such as yourself, the U.K. does pay it forward in so many ways if you cared to look.

  15. There you go. I think this is the right one but as I’m out at the moment I don’t have time to do anything other than a skim read.

Page 16, for example, looks like it predicts a drop off in potential growth of 7.7% (range 5% - 10%) over 15 years
