the whysky association saying today that Scotland is being disproportionataly hit by the american tarrifs introduced in 2 weeks time. i know noob, burban. but 80% v 8% of market share. i wonder how this will affect, influince future trade deals.
No, them thick arseoles will find any excuse to be angry, you only have to look at the period after the peace agreement and before brexit.
Is this as a result of the eu versus the usa versus the eu tariff war? If so, we'll be out of the eu soon, happy days all round.
you think you will be out on the 31st? will the USA tolorate gov support for UK's companies? how will they react to the uk protecting our industries?
I hope the 31st, but do fear this is just a get out of responsibility by Boris because he knows the eu was always all or nothing and offering even a slight twist which will be rejected, but will see the eu to blame and their reputation it seems is more important than the countries that pay them to manage. The Americans will be Americans, they will try and it's upto us to try too
tbh, and after thinking about it. i know who the W/association have backed in the past. i know which party the donnate to. fuck em.
Which is EXACTLY why ANY change to the status quo regarding the border and the delicate relationships between the protagonists (nationalist groups, loyalist groups, Westminster and Dublin) is dangerous and risks the fragile peace. Why don’t you get that? Note the word “you” in the above question, ie: please spare us the plagiarised opinions of others which you often resort to when in a corner.
another funny wee read. you will recognise some lines. https://weegingerdug.wordpress.com/2019/10/02/armagammon-and-escaping-unicorns/
Absolutely I do but in return, that would suggest the good friday agreement has failed and everyone is quoting it as a saint when it is still a sinner because it has never properly worked from day one. Your option is, the eu, backed by terrorists, should be more important than a seperate countries democratic votes to leave a trade body and that whilst article 50 allows every country of the eu to leave, it doesn't apply to the U.K. Can you confirm you think the U.K.'s right to democracy is now based on if terrorists allow it?
and I could show you this and go back and forth all day with different sides events https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/may/10/disappeared-ira-troubles-northern-ireland but more than anything, it shows why the U.K. is right not to let terrorists or governments using the threat of them, as a way to decide democracy.
The GFA is holding on by its fingers but this current sh*t show is having the effect of prising those fingers off the ledge one by one. You clearly have little to no idea of how people think or how things work over there. Or maybe you do, but because you’re such an extremist yourself, you’ll continue to deny the reality of what a dangerous game the UK Govt is playing with people's lives.
I don’t know how to rate that post as a “like” would be utterly inappropriate. Thankfully most of the truth of what happened that day came out. Yet another toxic ingredient in the mix is that the trial of “Soldier B”, is due to start soonish. They had first pre-trial hearing last week. The timing is terrible.
