Which color wheels for my 1098s Bayliss Rep ?

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by ScrumpyDave, Apr 9, 2013.

  1. The current wheels are flaking and need a refurb, I was wandering if I should stay with black or try white ?

    As it is

    White

    Or any other ideas ?

    Thanks :)

  2. I would stay with Black, white looks great only when they are spotlessly clean.

  3. what about red?

  4. Shame its a Bayliss Rep ;)

  5. ooohhh that's a luffly bike

white wheels are a pia to keep clean - but do scrub up well

    keep em black

  6. someone's going to suggest gold ,,,,

  7. I would go with white or possibly red.

  8. Had white wheels once, swore never again, as been said look great when they are clean its just 5 mins on the road and they are bloody black again!! Would stay with black myself

  9. A vote for white here. I had gold wheels on my gsxr and found if you clean them with mr sheen they are a lot easier when next washing as the grime does not stick. I have black wheels on my 1098 and am itching to paint them. I wonder what they would look like in ducati red to match the bike? Any pics anyone?

  10. Rear black front white.

  11. Sounds interesting :)

  12. How about navy blue from the Bayliss scheme, with white pinstripe?

  13. Going with the colour scheme you're left with black white or red really.

    Black, safe option.

    White, quick to look dirty.

Red.... To be honest the bikes I've seen with red wheels have looked a bit tacky, unless they are part of an actual recognised colour scheme like a Senna, even then they are the only flashes of colour on quite a dark bike. Think red would make your bike look too busy.

My choice would be black with red pinstripe and red anodized wheel nut.

But all down to personal choice, modification of bikes is all about what you think looks right.

  14. Thanks for all the comments going white as I had them on the blade and with my OCD they were never dirty for long :)

Arthur thanks for making me check my bank balance once again !!!! But happy with the current wheels for now :)

Liked the idea if black and white but worried it would look thrown together

  16. Burberry might look good

  17. Burberry ?? Thanks for that, not my style though I'm 32 not 16

  18. Just paint them white, you know you want to....if it looks crap paint them black again....lol

  19. Not red. Sold mine as black look so much better. Unless its the overall sheme like those with 1 wheel red 1 wheel blue

Go with what Bayliss had imho

  20. white of course, ill enjoy looking, and i wont have to clean them
