British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. that’s so funny. Bring back control Loz wants the sovereign UK parliament not to have control

  2. How long until we hear cries of “Boris is really a remainer! He wrote two essays, one for and one against. He was never a true Brexiteer!”

  3. you are right.

I was being harsh, so let’s just go with he attended the wake of a UVF leader and then did this:

“In a Westminster debate on the issue of governance in association football, Dodds highlighted that footballers born in Northern Ireland often opt to play for the Republic of Ireland national football teaminstead, saying "action needs to be taken to stop the haemorrhaging of talent from Northern Ireland".[15]

maybe it’s because loyalists sent Martin O’Neill and Neil Lennon bullets and death threats?

  6. To stop me having to look it up ... do we know whether the Benn Surrender Act compels the UK PM to negotiate for a deal as well as ask for an extension if no deal is reached? Or is the PM only compelled to ask for an extension?

I believe the extension is only granted by the EU if it is for the purposes of negotiating a "deal". If BoJob extends, but fails to negotiate, I have seen it suggested that the extension is null and void.

Lot of game theory going on at the moment. Interesting times.

  7. No problem, we raise our own :upyeah:

  8. Rangers had to close a section with 3000 seats as their fans were singing “racist” songs in catholic Poland. The same songs they sing every week, but it’s only UEFA that take action. The SFA branch of the OO don’t do anything about it and the Tories and Labour parties changed the law to allow it to return.

I wish the Irish wouldn't come across the water to support Celtic and Rangers. No good comes from it.

Then there are the idiots in the Green Brigade who see “Celtic as a vehicle to promote the political cause of the reunification of the nine counties” as i was once told. I told him to go back Ireland and keep Irish politics out of my team. And the other idiots who boo British soldiers. They can leave and not come back also

  12. Some eminent lawyer or other is saying that the law compels BJ to ask for an extension, but not how long the extension has to be.
So he could ask for 24,and he's complied with the law.
