Today I dismantled a Pantah electric starter motor (smaller type than later models), cleaned the carbon dust out, lubricated the bearings (which haven't seen any grease for 30 years), replaced the tiny earthing screws with more substantial M4 studs, reassembled, tested, and sprayed it matt black. So that's one more job done - one from a long list.
Today I went and snapped some better pics of the bike, I also got informed that a magazine wants to do an article on it, so hopefully that will turn out good!

Spent hours and hours at work teaching the engineer who arrived to fix our printer how to fix our printer. Yes, you read that right. I felt sorry for him, he was new to printers and told me he was terrified. He was subcontracted by the subcontractor we use - we being the subcontractor to the contractor subcontracted by the customer - and he has had no training on the work he has been asked to perform. Yes, the service industry is alive and well and living in Great Britain.
Had a good day, met up with my daughter for the first time in a year ( we didn't speak or meet for 7 years after I split from her mum) and had a nice ride out on the bike and just won the local pub quiz! Donated the winnings to the charity so feeling pretty good now!
Rode over to pick up some new motorcycle boots from Altberg in Richmond via the Dales. Lovely. The boots and the Dales.
