Sad day. After almost 4 months of haggling with the party that caused the accident and battling with the vague and ambiguous Vietnamese law and unhelpful police ("we are just doing as the law requires") we managed to sell the Hyper to the offending party. The alternative was to spend another six months haggling with the insurers and court cases to settle a criminal case and the final outcome would've been no different as I would've sold the bike in any case as SWMBO is not happy for me to ride anymore. I have too accept that it is getting manic out there. Maybe in a couple of years she will change her mind. So will become another member without a bike. The scooter doesn't count...
Dropped car off to have a new clutch - 150K miles isn't bad Rode 748 in the rain to Lymington for its MOT (which it passed) Rode home and gave it a clean. Noted front indicator has stopped working (despite friendly tap which normally sorts it!) Had lunch at our local Thai which was nice Watched an episode on Narcos (now we have Netflix!) Good day off!
I might just be being a sentimental old fool as the 900ss was my first Ducati but I’ve been reading up on the supersport S I quite like the relaxed riding position and looks, the thing is coming off a Multistrada I’m just not too sure if the decrease in HP will entertain me enough! I’ll get over to Ducati Mcr at some point for a test ride. They are pretty though!
I know you have one, but I don’t think I could get on with the looks, I know, says the multi rider! Sure are a quick bike though.
Just get Martin to lend you one for a couple of hours at least. But ride it like a sports bike not a cruiser. It’s definitely not a cruiser

@Gandalf and Anthony. WHAT? SWMBO has said no more bikes? This is not on. Mind you I get the guilt trip every time I go out. ‘I want you to go and enjoy yourself but Im so worried about you’. How can I enjoy myself knowing you think like that. However, sometimes I’m a selfish Cnut and I think I had bikes before I met you and I’ve had them all the time we were together, just didn’t ride them that much due to family and work but now I’m retired(ish) and the kids have fecked off, Im back into them again so I’m going out. Life is dangerous, we may as well enjoy it
