Eh? Appealing doesn’t mean you don’t respect the law. It means you’ve had legal advice that the judge(s) might have got it wrong. Now, on the other hand, saying you’ll be doing something that the law specifically prohibits - that suggests a lack of respect for the law (as do many other things associated with BoJo)
And she's not afraid to get down and dirty to own those uppity politicians. She's brawler, that one, good on her. For too long, senior judges in this country have been aloof and above the political fray. It's about time they got their hands dirty and chipped in with the running of the nation. She has my vote, next election.
Does anyone else noticed the absence of Remainers calling the Scottish judges “traitors”, threatening to disobey the law and generally acting like spoilt kids who’ve drunk too much blue pop?
I imagine Remainers are quietly confident (one of the rare occasions they are quiet) that the Scottish court's decision is irrelevant/due to be over-turned. That's how it seems to me, previously - Remainers don't often panic. Not with the politicians, the civil servants, the Supreme Court, the banks, the media, etc all in their corner. I imagine the Scottish judgment is simply a bone being thrown to Leavers to give them a bit of false hope or perhaps, encouragement. Or maybe just for the bantz, and S&Gs.
