Wrong. While we are in the EU, we are at risk of there subsidies, I'm sure once we leave, so will the subsidies. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/02/wto-rules-in-favor-of-us-in-aircraft-subsidies-dispute.html Oh, and this ban on haggis has been in place for 48 years because the US bans sheep's lungs in their food. So a fine lot of use "often lobbying" has done for half a century. I don't detect hatred towards "your country" from anybody on here. I am presuming "your country" is Scotland by the way, unless you are referring to the country that you choose to reside in, instead.
He lives in England like a lot of patriotic scotsmen , even the wings over scotland geeza has lived in bristol for nearly 2 decades
and funnily enough, all the experts on here that assert, their facts about what goes on up here live doon there.
I don't profess to being an expert on "What goes on up there". What I do know though is that nobdoy I know has a hatred of Scotland, much the opposite in fact.
you make a lot of assumptions how do you know I don’t own a property in Scotland? how do you know where I am registered for tax?
Is it piss ups or is it interference from foreign countries certain people seem to be lining up their future employment
I don't recall making any assumptions about your property or tax status, did you just make an assumption Mary? you naughty minx
The point is not that EU goods are subject to EU tariffs. @noobie was mocking the SNP for criticising the U.K. government for not lobbying the USA on whisky tariffs. The FACT is that it’s up to France to lobby for champagne and Germany to lobby for Schnapps. The example I gave for haggis was an example of the U.K. government lobbying the USA was to demonstrate this principle. It seems to have straight over your and Noobies head. can I take you back to that advice given on exam day? Read the question twice
You don’t “win” lessons. I suspect that misunderstanding is half of one of your manifold problems tbh.
you are implying that because I live outside of Scotland I am not entitled to an opinion. By that logic neither are you but you can’t keep your mouth out
You said "often lobbies", yet gave an example of a food banned from the USA for 48 years. The USA has won it's case over the EU acting illegally and will impose subsidies on EU goods it sees fit to do so. That's nothing to do with the British gov't. If you feel so strongly about it, you should support leaving the illegally acting, protectionist EU. Reading your stuff once, is enough, thank you all the same.
I do support leaving the EU, because that’s what the majority want. Since parliament has failed to agree a WA, then that should be on WTO terms and the U.K. take whats coming. The irony of you talking about “the protectionist EU” after mentioning the USA ban on Haggis. No logic in your comments. It’s about who takes responsibility for lobbying not the mechanism for trade.
Good lad. Nothing to do with it containing sheep's lungs then? You think this ban has been in place through many American administrations because of protectionism? And you think you speak with logic?
Is Nob up to his usual trick of misrepresenting the views of his opponent in order to set up a straw man argument? We should start calling him “Cathy” (of “So what you’re saying is....” C4 fame) Edit: I meant “Noob”. That missing letter thing my phone keeps doing is really annoying.
