Here is no.82 which I had been offered early last week at offers in excess of 18k€ for a quick sale, by the same dealer (on behalf of the owner) who supplied my well documented 999R at 8450€ in 2017. You can read then that the dealer does not envisage any commercial gain at that price.
Although it is tempting, as am currently negotiating on a D16RR at offers in excess of 30k€ (you heard me), I am passing on it and may well have regardless!
I think you can read between the lines here and conclude that prices asked are not always prices achieved, much as many of us that own these models, myself included, would like to think that they are.
There is also a 1098R Bayliss available on the open market for 22k€. I don't want this either.

I believe we are now very much in a buyer's market as opposed to a speculator's:

Speculative: These are things that people have bought in the past, pushing them to unrealistic prices, not because they did anything useful or produced money or had social value, but solely because people thought they could sell them on to someone else for more money in the future. Think Bitcoin folks, or tulip bulbs maybe!

Investment: This means buying an asset that actually creates products, services or cashflow; such as a profitable business or a rentable piece of real estate, for an extended period of time. An investment is therefore something that has intrinsic value – that is, it would be worth owning from a financial perspective, even if you could never sell it!

So there you have it, my thought for today!

  2. The starting point for a sale is to get a price before you can make up your mind.:upyeah:

  3. Sold mine 2 years ago for £16.500. 18.000 miles, 2 owners . A fair and realistic price?

  6. These were fitted to a minty non crashed 6R. As the owner wanted to add a bit of bling.

They are now fitted to my FE, as he sold the bike as std.
