British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  2. Not sure that’s correct Exi. I do recall the abuse started not long after I started posting in the TR thread with Lightning and Moob. Can’t recall if you were involved at that stage but I’m pretty certain, knowing what I’m like, that any insults coming from me would most likely be retaliatory.

I’m pretty “meh” about them tbh. As I’ve said before - given the work I do it’s water off a duck’s back and as you’ve probably worked out I can not only give as good as I get, anything said to me is likely to be returned with interest. The main issue I have is two fold - rounding on others (sometimes en masse) who maybe take it more personally and are dissuaded from posting and/or when all of a sudden after I come back on you with some caustic comment, you “turn” and play the victim card, which is a bit confusing but I suppose it does back up your claim that it’s all in jest and there’s no malice behind it and I’ve misread it (trouble is that I’m not the only one who misreads it)

  4. Brexit: Special sitting for MPs to decide UK's future https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49984367

Do they get time and a half for Saturdays ?

Not that I’ve looked hard, but there seems to be very little about Mr Bercow’s meeting, maybe it’s not much but I can’t help thinking he’s not behaving in an impartial way by doing that.

  5. Why would a UK Speaker of the House meet with an EU Parliament President, and at a time like this?

Unless he was pimping out his wife Sally, I'd say there is no legitimate reason for this.

I suspect the UK MSM has filed the meeting in the same folder as Gilets Jaunes and WTO Brexit - in the Unicorn File.

  6. I hope his interview for a role as EU Commissioner went well.
He’ll need a new role once he’s stepped down as Speaker and MP: He could be the next Donald Tusk!

  7. I was thinking more about why little has been made of it and I do wonder whether the response would have been different if he had been trying to help a no deal brexit.

  9. Sorry, Liz has worded me for upsetting you so I will try and handle you with kid gloves, but your memory is like a pile of poo. I'm afraid you can't give as good as you get and your defence would not hold up in a court of law (unless I was bannistering for you, then you would very likely be OK).

  12. Sigh. As I said - it’s not just me that’s said it Exi. I don’t like you (or the “you” that you present on here) and your flip flopping between being insulting and playing the butt hurt victim is a bit annoying, but you don’t upset me as such.

  13. It’s very odd that this time yesterday it looked like there was an almighty Bercow-shaped storm brewing, yet although the fact of the meeting doesn’t seem to be in dispute, it’s gone very quiet. Ordinarily the Leave supporting/Bercow hating papers would be all over much less fishy business than this.

    Strange

  15. You have pretend friends now - this is getting serious :eyes:
Sorry for upsetting you and putting you in that position, but go do some research as your words are erroneous regarding your little spiff with me, it's all there in black and white who started, I thought we were having a laugh but clearly you live in a virtual glass house

  16. Perhaps the claimed 80% in favour of brexit, has never been 80%?

  17. Hilarious - done that research yet lil fella
