  2. 27 grand for a new bike?

  3. Then he should sign all the finance or purchase paperwork now with a delayed delivery to lock in the deal, I suspect 15k will not be happening in late Mar April, he has more chance of a lottery win, no one is underwriting bikes that far ahead currently and commiting especially with Brexit looming, I think your mates a dreamer.

  4. What discount/deal can he get on the Hyper..? Maybe this could offset his lower than desired px offer.

  5. Agree. It’s all about the price to change bikes. If a dealer offers you a low px, see if you can haggle the replacement price down. Know how much you expect/are prepared to pay to do the swap and then don’t worry about the headline prices. I got £12k for my 1299S with 17k miles on it against a late 18 plate V4S.

  6. Think I would try sell privately but unfortunately now that the seasons have changed more people are thinking about the birthday of Jesus Christ our lord for their spare money and not bikes.

  7. Trading in your bike some time is a bitter pill to swallow isn't it. To be fair though, say your in the market for a V4, there's not exactly a short supply of options is there. I mean I haven't seen hardly any on the road but on Auto Trader and Ebay they're common as muck, that's not me being a snobby dick, I don't have the capital to buy one new outright so therefore can't turn my nose up at them but just saying for a dealership to take on another one, to add to the plethora of second hand V4's in circulation, ya know it's kind of understandable to offer that.
Also were gonna start to see second hand beemers coming through start of deep winter as well I bet, so add that to the competition.
Pro with every con though, for blokes in the market for a cracking deal on a superbike, this winter will be like shooting fish in a barrel for us.

  8. You also have, the bigger the dealer, the more stock they are possibly going to sit on for months and months before it's sold and yet their bills/wages/running costs as a dealer don't go down.

The good thing now is you have a number of dealers interested and a general price being offered, not one is forcing you to sell it to them.

  10. Main dealer closers often give me the impression they've moved on from failing in double glazing.

  17. New price is almost irrelevant, it's the monthly payment people (not me) look at.

  19. When your a continual user of roll off roll on pcps the new bike hit seems to fade away from memory. I haven't bought a brand new bike in years and have never used a pcp
