  1. I've often wondered if pcp's will be the new ppi?

  2. only if you are dyslexic.

  3. I said that to my wife just the other day coz my dumb as fuck sister in law has a shitty Nissan on pcp and thinks that when she’s had enough Nissan will get back her 5 k down payment, stupid is as stupid does.
She’s the type to say they never told her that when she was desperate to sign the contract to have the same car as everyone else

  4. And pricing in its value for spring 2020.

unlikely to be selling it on anytime soon

  5. PCP is OK as long as you don't put a large deposit in. If you have to do that to make it affordable then you shouldn't be doing it. 10% should be the absolute max.

  6. Where's that out of interest?

  7. @comfysofa
For me it's all about the rideout pleasure while i can that matters most,if i get my start money returned that's fine and if i lose a bit then that's also ok by me,now if i make a good profit which has never happened in all the years that i've been biking.........i'd have finally got the balance right in life.:upyeah:

  15. £15k is still his best price but that’s against a Hyper SP at list, £14300, so £700 back to him.
I said to ask for £1k back and you’ll do the deal but he still said the dealer who offered £15k in spring is genuine.

I think that the dealer doesn’t want him to buy elsewhere but it’s up to him what he decides to do.
His bike is paid for outright and I think he got stung putting his 1199, Hyper 1100S and £££‘S in for the V4 so a big loss on the V4 then the Hyper is worth £11k straight away.

I haven’t ridden his V4 but he thinks it isn’t a patch on his 1199 on the road, all top end and very hard suspension.

This thread is getting quite long now, not as long as the sprocket removal one though !

  16. Long thread = good topic topic. A lot of interesting opinions been brought out tbf.

  17. Sounds like he throws a lot of money away and makes bad decisions too

  18. ...as do many others. The two previous owners of my V4 have seen over £5k of depreciation and covered 1,500 miles for their money. That’s £3.33 per mile. I put 17k miles on my V2 for £8k depreciation. That’s 47p per mile.

  19. Being from Yorkshire I buy premium models at rock bottom and they just keep going up in value - I can't imagine it any other way  The older bikes are just as good for us mere mortals...

  20. My last two bikes were bought for £2,500 and ended up being sold for £2,500 and I had the same fun but less time in workshops, as any bike costing 10 times more.
