1299 New Bike - Panigale R

Cracking. Where did you get it from? Age/mileage??

 

That’s a lovely looking bike and love the blueing on the exhaust.

Is it a 1299 or 1199 the panigale r?

 

Neither, it's 1198

 

It’s a Panigale R.
AKA Gen 2.

Same as Bretski’, Cooksters & mine.

 

And @Robarano's and my new one - mines back at Ducati in Italy though - gone...

 

But are those ones 1199 or1299? And which is the one with the exhausts that look like a wheelbarrow?

The 1299 R is a pretend R with the wheel barrow exhaust and is a 1285

Got ya cheers I was getting confused with the gen 1 gen 2 bit

 

It's the same year as the 1299

 

I thought that the r engine was always a bigger cc than what the model was called ie 1098 r was an
1198. If that makes sense

 

Yeah but they had to keep it at 1198 for wsbk homologation rules

 

They are both 1199. The 1299r fe was a blinged 1299, not a ‘real’ R

 

Them wheelbarrow exhausts look a bit silly in my opinion but I’m sure some like it. I just think It ruins the lines of a lovely looking machine

 

Stunning bike. Really starting to like these. Might get one next year if I can find one with low miles.
