    Hi guys,

As per title, I bought a NOS short DP hugger but for the life of me can’t see how it fits! It was advertised as 748/916/996, but not sure if it’s missing a bracket?

If anyone has any pics of one fitted that shows mounting points, I’d be very grateful!

  2. I’m struggling to really tell from those photos Tel but there should be 2 bolts screws into the swing-arm, or at least 2 drilled holes if the bolts aren’t in them, into which the rear hugger attaches. As you stand behind the bike they will be on the rear part of the swing arm where it’s attached to the engine & frame. Just underneath where the rear suspension attaches. The holes in the higher should line up with them.

  3. Most huggers for our bikes are integrated with the chain guard so they attach with the assistance there. I've never seen a hugger on it's own. You need to use the bolt on the left side in the swing arm and the plug on the right side as a minimum I would have thought

    Cheers guys

I’ve had a look and the chain guard and hugger attach completely separately. The holes in the swing arm don’t correlate with the holes in the higher either. If I can’t find a solution, I’ll stick this back on eBay and buy myself one from Speed Carbon

  5. The old powerbronze ones for the 848/1198 had a separate alloy bracket which fitted to the swingarm then the hugger attaches to this. Maybe it’s similar?

This looks like the hugger that fits under the swingarm. It protects the exhaust and muck flying into the bottom of the belly pan.
