I was chatting to my neighbour yesterday who's ordered one and he was saying that he was going to cancel his order as they are saying November for delivery at the earliest but can't guarantee it at the moment. So if it was delivered then he wouldn't use it till Spring (if at all as he and his wife are looking to travel around Asia for 6 months from Springtime).
It is a 2020 model. Either way I’d rather wait and get a bike that is actually very very good than get a overpriced Italian, made out of spit and tissue, which doesn’t put out the power they claimed (again) and would be a total liability to race as club level
My new BMW RR magically turned into a free of charge brand new GS for the winter. I choose the GS for a bit of fun because I'd never buy one normally. I wanted to see if it would actually do long distance tours in relaxation but its actually really bloody good and I'm enjoying riding on the road again. I may take them up on buying it cheap next year when the RR finally gets here. My goal is to get it to Africa over the winter and see how many miles I can put on it!
Hate to break it all you bimmer fan boys...read em and weep... PS you’ll need to upgrade the brakes too for pacey track work. Not yours @carson yours is ace
Yeah - the brakes - no ones selling that line to me....some no name manufacturer (at least in the Bike world) - screams of cost savings to me....id be expecting brembos or top of the line nissin's on there...
means nothing bud. Different tracks reap different results. Different riders reap different results. The stock grids will be full of BMW’s again next year. Not likely to see any or many aprillia’s or Ducati’s and for good reason the v4 for example was slower than a zx6 at Jerez on the Bridgestone launch and the bmw was a few seconds up on anything.
The V4 was in shit state with those R11's or whatever they where though, those tyres aren't meant for the bike. Put the 636 and the V4 on vo2's round Jerez and let's be honest it'd melt it.
goes to prove though that different tests bring different results Ducati’s famously don’t do much in anything other than full blown superbikes. BMW’s have always done very well in stock category’s, much like the new gsxr. Same at the TT, they mentioned running a panigale a few years ago and the commentary team laughed. End of the day the stock category is the important one as it’s the closest to the road bike. The wsbk BMW’s are still running stock motors
1 second covering the top ten bikes, different days, different conditions bla bla bla, pays your money and all that, feck all between them really. Still rather have my 899 them big bikes scare the fuck out of me
Nah, I’m not having any of that. New M Sport is the best bike in the world and that’s that. I’ll confirm that next week
