Christ on a bike! you might want to read the legal document which “your precious union” is based upon. Particularly where it talks about taxation
Right, there's a WA on the table, perhaps not all things to all men and women but nonetheless it's there. Scotlands SNP are moaning because NI get the benefit of frictionless trade with the eu, and NI's DUP are moaning because they've got what Scotland want, Labour are moaning because they like moaning and are frankly the most incoherent and toothless bunch of opposition the world has ever seen, and the Lib Dems are moaning because they don't want to leave anyway. Now the Merk Meister has said let's get a free trade deal done quickly as the UK will be a 3rd country, which kinda just seems to be logical all round. https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-b...ry-quickly-idUKKBN1WW2LN?utm_source=applenews Isn't it about time everyone took a deep breath and we get on with this now? I honestly don't see what the fuss is about and frankly wish the political bollocks would end. If a free trade arrangement gets done and the uk can continue to set it's own immigration controls along with ROTW trade deals that's good all round is it not? Then Scotland can decide to leave the uk, apply for eu membership and that gets put to bed. Is it really worth dragging this out?
no. its not. decades of campaigning for and promises of devolution. vote rigged the first time, overwhelmingly voted for the second time. decades of campaigning for an indi reff where promises where made of closest thing to home rull, devo max and remaining in the EU. english votes takes us out the EU, english votes reduces the powers of our parliment. english votes puts us at a dissadvantage to N/I. a genneral feeling from the english that they are getting what we have saying for as long about the workings of westminster. you don see the fuss as your getting what you voted for, as did Wales, and to some extent N/I. so naw, there will be no rolling over.
I saw 2 minutes of QT last night where some bloke in the audience said he was really pleased that BloJob had got a great deal and the NI should just be cast off so no longer a problem - I couldn't watch any more
But surely by the uk actually getting on with leaving that reinforces the reasoning for indi 2 and thus you guys get the vote on independence and can leave the uk? Isn't that the end game?
mate. my advise is, dont watch it. especially now after the political leanings of the producers where exposed. right of centre doesent cover it.
It was a complete accident I saw that bit - I was both angry and astounded by the comment, couldn't really believe it
So regulatory alignment, including taxation harmonisation, with no say in the decision-making process is OK. And the EU setting UK defence and foreign policies is OK. And separating NI from the rest of the Union is OK. What do you think is the worst aspect of WA v2.0? Or maybe it's all OK?
aye, thats what they say. you guys being out dosent make it easier. it makes it harder, at least in the short term. while the boarder issue was bogus before. it does have weight now. at least untill the uk gov goes begging for a, TRADE deal. having a broken and impoverished nation next door dosent help much either.
Honestly I'm kinda past caring in truth mate. No deal will never pass, including any deal so it seems, it's groundhog day So what's the point in carrying this all on? Either take the deal or sack the whole thing off? Genuinely, I'm bored to tears with the moaning now.
So you'd rather we (uk) stay in the eu and then you leave the uk and join the eu? Makes perfect sense
Afraid to say I think he was either a nob or a troll but I really couldn't bring myself to watch any more of it
So all this money Finm has up there, if Scotland still leave the UK (against the will of the Scottish) and both remain in the EU - will Finm be sending the UK some money under the EU gift aid banner this is confusing
