I think they do. They are intent on not allowing Johnson to leave with no deal on the 31st. To ensure that does not happen, parliament must be in place and not suspended for an election.
Actually, that might work. Same principle as a GE. A three-way Referendum would be like voting to be governed by Brussels directly (Remain), Brussels eventually (faux-Leave) or Westminster (Leave). The side with the most votes wins, unless the two losing sides can form the Government between them. So, if faux-Leave gets the largest vote share but Leave and Remain between them have more votes, they could be in charge instead of faux-Leave and govern via a coalition, working together on the common ground they share. Actually, that might not work.
Well mainly because a referendum is not a GE, and also I sincerely don't think you're blind enough nor in anyway silly enough to know that it wouldn't float without massive push back. When I say I want closure of this and for it to be put to bed I do so in a way that I feel is fairest and cleanest in regards to giving no bullets to fire for losers or winners. People either want to still leave or now have changed their mind. What you're suggesting is nothing more than trying to split votes for advantage and that unfortunately comes across as wrong.
Does that include the issue of Capital Punishment? Didn't Parliament pass a law that forbids any future Parliamentary discussion over Capital Punishment? I could be wrong. I have never fact-checked that particular factoid, it may be bunkum.
How much more push back do you think there will be than now? The majority of people will accept a vote using the system they have already accepted for their entire lives. If you don't realise this, then perhaps you are silly and blind - to use your words not mine?
Mostly yes as everyone will be able to see that they were given a choice, based on information they knew, which included all viable options. People know & trust this system as they do it every five years or less.
The problem is when a toddler (not you) spills it's ice cream on the first lick, you cannot stop it crying - and the Remoaners are just big fuckin' babies
Going to have to agree to disagree again I think. 47% vote for remain 53% vote for leaving, one way or another. therefore we remain ? wouldn’t that just put us back 3.5 years but the other way round.
