1200 Enduro Oil Mesh Filter Thingy

  1. How the hell do you get that out, there's nothing to grab it by ..

  3. When you’ve done put a bit of three bond on the bottom plate and replace the 4 bolts with decent ones... :upyeah:

  7. Thanks for that Siddo, I hadn't realised the inner tube bit was part of the mesh jobby, came out nicely once I have it a yank with the pointy pliers.
     
  8. Has anyone ever removed this filter and seen any dirt/contamination/swarf?
    Just wondering!
     
  9. Nothing on mine. Tiniest bit of swarf on the magnetic drain plug.

  10. I've not heard of any issues like this on the Multi engines.

    on the 996s pulling the filter and finding flakes of chrome was an indication the rockers were on their way out.
    That and bits of metal stuck to the magnet on the drain plug.

    For the time it takes to remove and check, its worth it imo, even if its just to see all is good.
