British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Sometime the status quo is the wrong thing to do, sometimes it should be observed. Nothing is all one way or the other.

However, I think this speaker has driven a bulldozer through centuries of convention for his own political agenda. I don't think that's a good thing. Let's hope the next incumbent is less political and more traditional.

  3. and besides, i;m never alone.
yip, on the school team and local team in my 20s. i had to give it up as it was affecting my back. they kept putting me in as a prop, i wanted to be no 8 to protect my back. and the fact of the matter was, i could push our no 8 from one leanght of the field (west of scotland power lifting champion) to the other didnt figure.

  4. Cool... I stopped at 16... the biggest and hardest nut I knew left the field with a bone sticking out of his shoulder/neck... crying.... that did it for me.

  8. The RtHon. Joanna Cherry QC MP was on the BBC News earlier, pointing out that the Scots didn’t vote for BREXIT so it’s not fair if it is forced on them.

Apparently 1,018,322 people voted LEAVE in Scotland, and whilst all council counting areas showed a majority for Remain, Banff and Buchan, voted to Leave by an estimated margin of 54% Leave/46% Remain. The Leave vote in the area was concentrated around the north coast of Aberdeenshire between the fishing towns of Banff and Peterhead, where there were 23,707 Leave votes to 14,918 Remain votes (61% Leave 39% Remain).

The areas of Whalsay and South Unst in the Shetland Islands and An Taobh Siar and Nis in Na h-Eileanan an Iar (The Western Isles) also voted by a majority for Leave,[11] as did the town of Lossiemouth in Moray.

Do the 1,018,322 votes not count? Were the voters not “Scottish” enough to be counted, or should the majority vote of Voters in Scotland to Remain be more significant than the majority vote of voters in the UK to Leave?

I don’t understand why she thinks she can choose which area to take as representative after the event, other than when taken out of context it appears to support her political aim?

  13. Are they still touring?

  14. i'm gonna vote for Alyn Smith when the job comes up.
Sturgion has been superb as a leader. managing the disapointment of 2014 in the curcumstances in which is was lost. smith, the scotland act and now the implications of brexit being forced on us cant of been easy. and not a single act of violance has ensued.
