Anyone drilled their chain adjuster blocks to tap and put paddock stand bobbins on? My old R1 had small holes im the swing arm but not sure I want to go that far
What model is it the black swing arm they have the holes I think mines the earlier grey swing arm, I have a threaded bar goes through the rear spindle with bobbins on but you cant use that when your taking the wheel off bit of a crap design that!
Can`t you just use a normal rear paddock stand with the rubber blocks? I have the grey swing arm and bobbins and it works fine, wheel comes out easy, just have to be careful not to scratch the swing arm. Not the best pictures I`m afraid. Photo bombed by my dog.
I have them but mine cover the rear nut if I put them on the flat rear of the swing arm so they have to go forward and they are not that stable because the swingarm slopes up, badly thought out, maybe time for a new stand that fits better
DP made a rear stand to suit the early grey swinger models, they appear on the bay occasionally, most others with rubber contact areas will fit with care though, agree about the poor design.
I have one of the genuine Ducati stands for the early model kicking around somewhere. It is new, unused and doesn’t fit either of my 999’s. PM me anyone who would like (to buy) it.
I`m ok for stands, but I would be interested to see how an early model Ducati stand differs from a one size fits all generic stand.
I think seller would have got more if they had given postage option. Opens it up to a lot more potential buyers.
Assuming it was your bid then? Nice one I'm still waiting to hear back from @JoeC . Hoping I'm first in the queue for that one.
I have one of those early DP stands for sale. I’d take £50 cash. Leek/Ashbourne area. Happy to post at buyers cost.
