Amazing! For once the Noobicist is correct and I did indeed misread the post. My bad. In my defence I am in the process of loading motorbikes in a van and trying to locate all the parts I need to sort them out. The point does actually still stand though as one of the constant refrains from certain people on here is, in summary, that they’re privy to some higher and secret form of knowledge because “MSM bad, m’kay”
i know you are easily confused but I am if you sit down in a dark room for 10 minutes and then concentrate really hard you will work it out
To me it looks like the only way forward is going to be another referendum (or two ). Politicians aren't going to agree anything, the only thing there seems to be enough of them behind is that the UK doesn't leave without a deal.
Jeezus H. i dont recall anybody ever talking about leaving the EU back in the day. not in the workshop, not on the street or on the box. but our media does avoid topics that can increase support for yes and the snp. i can imagine going from here to down there where they where talkin about leaving the EU and knowing how the nombers game in the UK works. i could understand how a scot living in the S/.E could see the inevitable coming.
the narrative was often “how come you can have a referendum on Scottish independence and we don’t get one on leaving the EU?” anyone who says that the Britain leaving the EU was not an issue in 2012 needs to take a look at themselves the News was wall to wall Grexit https://www.valuewalk.com/2013/06/grexit-reality-2012-juncker/ ukip more than doubled its vote in the 2012 elections https://ukipwsx.org/local-election-results-may-2012/ taking 13% of the vote in 2013 they took 25% of the vote https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/po...al-election-2013-results-as-it-happened..html so good luck to anyone trying to suggest that UKIP were not on a surge and doing more than enough to push for a referendum on the subject. Similarly, good luck to anyone suggesting it was not a real possibility that UKIP could win a brexit referendum
I noticed it building when I lived in Norfolk in the early 00's - lots of talk of 'Polish plumbers' and 'imports' back then - before the apparent flood gates opened, so, yes it was perhaps obvious in many ways
You've spent longer typing lies than finding a post predicting the result of a referendum 2 years previous to it taking place. Just one post, go on.
Not looking good for Germany Germany has tumbled into recession as global trade tensions, disruption to the car industry and worries over Brexit take their toll, according to the country's central bank. U.K. on the other hand The performance of the British economy since the Brexit referendum in June 2016 has made a mockery of claims by Remainers that a Leave vote would tip the UK into recession and lead to as many as 820,000 job losses.
Just a slight off topic but related to that ^, I saw a trailer of a film yesterday that I hope to see within the next week or so. It is tied in with the 70's and 80's and maybe uncomfortable viewing for some as it's just one part of how things have been in the past It's supposed to be an autobiography of the actor/director Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and whilst I'm sure there is some literary licence thrown in, I'm also convinced it is a fair reflection of some parts of the country between the 60's-80's. Not brexit related though. It's a film called Farming
Maybe Germany “manipulate” their data less.. Going in to recession was forecast if we leave, not if we vote leave. We have not left. Probably why this thread is longer than War and Peace.
There’s been a fair bit of ‘this happened because of brexit’ in the news though despite the fact that we won’t actually leave
