probably not. every know and then I do get a wee hankering to go and see some of the former soviet countries. but, I recon if I hang about for several years and the people living up here don't grow a pair, I will only have to look out the window to get a feel for it.
no, I didn't need em when I was offerd a try out for the paisley amateurs either. swimming was also one of my things back in the day. smoking drinking and eh.. other things came later for me than most
Anyway, I can see this Brexit malarkey is depressing everyone. So here's some news to cheers all you's up.
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-50148094 I don't think a GE is the answer, it would become all about brexit anyway, so why not have another referendum.
I'm not convinced, in a referendum people can vote based on their brexit view, in a GE it's not (shouldn't be) just about brexit, so maybe there are enough people that want brexit but won't vote Tory (or UKIP or Brexit Party).
It's gone beyond that now. Haven't you noticed those seeking a second referendum rather than a g.e. are on the remain side?
Another referendum with the same MPs continuing to ignore “Advisory” referenda will achieve what exactly, apart from giving the appearance of trying to be seen to be solving the “Problem” ? If this Parliament had any intention of leaving the EU it would have already happened. A General Election is the Proper opportunity for the Electorate to re-appoint or dismiss their elected representatives based on aspirations and record of performance. If the Brexit supporting areas return Lib Dem or Labour MPs they won’t get Brexit!
Agree, the ge would be an opportunity to wipe some of the dross from the house, the party jumpers, the blockers and the malcontents.
