We've got people coming for dinner this evening and so SWMBO has been feverishly cooking and baking and whatever other shit you need to do for the past 2-3 days. I have had to "help" this morning (apparently) by doing dusting and vacuuming and plumping up cushions and stuff. Oh and I've just had to give the landscaper's oppo a bollocking to pass on to the landscaper for pissing us about yet again (he's not answering his phone - quelle surprise)............he promised yesterday evening he'd be with us at 8am this morning. Did he turn up? Did he fuck! But apparently they are "all" coming to do the job next week when it's forecast good weather so they can crack on and finish it.
El T So how are you enjoying your free time now you've left work? You finding enough to do to keep you occupied? Glad you did it?
Yes I'm glad I've left. I am sleeping much better than I have done for a long time which is great. Most days I am doing something I want to do rather than doing something that someone else wants me to do (obvs I'm not including SWMBO in that statement ).........but I've started to see a personal trainer to get fit again, I've been climbing/bouldering again (after 18 months), I've done a couple of walks in the countryside, I've picked up my guitars again and started to play them again (after 17 years), I'm seeing more of my grandkids, I'm involved with the DOCGB much more and last but by no means least I've been able to get the bikes out when the weather has been ok. So far, so good........and to coin a well worn cliche I don't see how I ever had the time to work before
