  1. hi
I got this MIV exhaust off eBay really cheap and don't know how to mount my tail lights/plate.
    there are no fixing points..
can anyone shed some light on this

  2. No doubt why it was cheap.
I would imagine you will have to fabricate something, it will look cool though as that pipe is the nuts!

  3. yeah probably but I don't like the twin exit ones. they look shit , and it makes the rear end look unfinished. so I thought I'd try this one

  4. Email Mivv and ask??

  5. Try fabricating a tail tidy to go underneath, if you don’t have the kit, make a template and get a local sheet metal shop to make you one in stainless steel.
Ensure the light is far enough away from the heat of the silencers, or some suitable heat shield built into the tail tidy.

  6. thanks for all your replies
I got in contact with mivv and they sent me a spec sheet of the bracket.
so I made my own out of alloy. it doesn't look to bad to be honest.
one thing I have done is use the oem heat shield.
I'm not sure if it will be ok without?

  7. Erm, Erm, the tail tidy doesn't look too bad and would be the last thing I'd be worried about

  8. I think it’s looks great, but a bit close to the wheel at that angle?

  9. Looks neat enough but personally prefer the oem tail/brake light and indicators which adhere to the polygonal design theme of the 999.

  10. I didn’t know Ducati made a triple?

  11. yeah I thought this. I might have to bend the plate up a touch. I've already made the plate smaller lol

  12. yeah they made 1 to my knowledge, called the mivv x-cone

  13. Your baffles appear to have 'dropped' out of your exhausts, funny because that's happened to both of the Ducatis I've owned

  14. I don't understand.... what are baffles

    haha

  15. My understanding is that they are some kind of bung you stick in the end of your exhaust pipes to reduce power when you go on a race track.
