Well, last I looked sport is about competition which means winning is the objective.being at the front. Gaining advertising time for the money invested. The business of sport. Reference, liking and winning. Those who like Rossi and dislike Stoner were those who wanted Rossi on a Ducati because they expected him to Develop it properly set it up properly and ultimately win. I think Marlboro are about winning rather than liking. Theywere happy withCasey when he was winning and demanding apologies when he was sick. Willl they be demanding apologies of VR? So there is a blending of the two, or confusion as you put it, but not by me. My point was always that I didn't care about Caseys moaning, liking his personality was secondary to rating his ability to get results out of a dog. At the same time others thought he was a waste of space, and should not be on the bike as he was underperforming.....apparently. Time and results proven proven otherwise. Liking Rossi is fine disliking Stoner is fine Suggesting Stoner was ineffective at Ducati and Rossi could do better was something I could not understand. But that was the assertion of those named above. Seems to have touched a raw nerve with Imola. If I think back to cheese gate, there were people saying he should fired. "Marlboro aren't paying all that money not get the tv coverage being missed by not having a bike at the front" These were the same people complaining the bike used to be at the front winning comfortably and subsequently on the podium for more coverage. Boring racing, but VR winning titles by 100points is not boring. So we are told. Why are these people not complaining now if the issue was tv coverage? That is not related to liking or personality. Its a matter of return on investment. So, as you say, confusion. No clarity of thought. I didn't list your name, as I always find you to be most objective. Most of my posts have endeavoured to be as "petty and illinformed" as the most ardent VR fan, for no other reason but to put forward as blatantly biased contra viewpoint. Though I still maintain Stoner is the most talented guy on 2 wheels on the planet and as been for many years. am not shying away from that. People can point at statistics, but they can be made to justify several different positions, all of which can be rendered meaningless, as the recent Noyes article demonstrates. Eg Fastest bike at Qatar, 2011, Ducati. Means nothing. Didn't make the podium.
Last I heard moaning was not a crime You sure you want to bring up arses? I can go back to being "petty and Ill informed"
Ha Ha! Talking of Arses's!! what's happened to thet Aussie bloke TP ? He's not been on here for a while.
I think the dog of a design of the engine used a stressed member with front and rear sub frames is about to bite ducati's arse in wsb. Well thats according to a well respected gent i shared a beer with on tuesday night!
749er, you really are taking this too seriously, and I find it very offensive that you have used my name to corroberate a lie of your own making. Show me any post where I have called Moaner a bad rider. I know you can't, because I've never said it, either here or elsewhere. Grow up, or get a sense of humour, or preferably both. You're giving aussies a bad name; if your forbears could see you now they'd turn in their cells...
Are you saying I've got a sexy arse? I've been busy, flat out at work and Uni... Derek's right by the way. I love the Scots
Are you really saying you never criticised Stoner? I don't see where I have said you stated he could not ride. FYI, I am not an Aussie, but don't worry I am not offended. I subscribe to this Comic Database: Steve Hughes... Offended? - YouTube Give it a go, it might work for you too.
Don't worry about him Derek - he's the one person on this site, and on the last, who, even in the face of damning evidence, would never admit he's wrong - like slagging Casey off for crashing the Ducati for example... Total fanboi with whom you can't have banter or a fan's chat. On the last site he had to resort to personal attacks via PM, which he got warned for, so I'm not sure you really want to go there with him mate.
You did spend some time on your arse crashing Weather here is like winter again, It's to cold to go out to my workshop and carry on finishing my 944 SS road bike.
I prefer to call myself an occasional scenery inspector  Get a heater in there! I'm saving the cash at the moment, racing later this year/early next hopefully ... dunno mate, it's so much more expensive here Best he pull his finger out! Hard to justify when you're team mate is on the front row...
I'd love to see him win it! But it looks like its wet and the wet tyres will be slicks after 7 laps I reckon so .. it's a total lottery! Should be an entertaining race
I would but yesterdays qually was a gamble for all. Hopefully we will have a good race mate. RDP will be mixing it!
I have offered to buy you a beer many times. I reckon we have lost so many to bets to each other that we can fund a weekend bender. Seems talking crap might have a plus side. Am back in Scotland now, so if you are on tha M74 give me a shout.
