Scammer Alert

  1. Gonna bid a quid on all of them.

Hopefully I'll end up with two or three cheap bikes. Not all eleven though!

  2. I'll check if I won any of them.

  5. He’s been going for ages, easy enough to spot though, his usual MO is to offer a bike at about 60% of its actual value, more recently he’s moved onto the £1 thing, but in every case he asks you to contact him via his email address, anyone dumb enough to part with a deposit without seeing the bike or taking other robust measures to ensure the seller is genuine has only themselves to blame IMO.

  6. I agree. If it’s too good to be true as the saying goes.
Apparently 60% upfront and the bike will be delivered a week later. He can’t take phone calls as he is working offshore, bike is in safe storage and will be released once final payment is received.
But there are some dumb folk out there.

  7. The links don’t work. Is this guy where every item he sells is £5,600?

I try to report obvious scams but eBay makes it very difficult (like everything apart from giving them money) so I gave up. It’s almost like, would you believe it, they don’t care that their online marketplace is used as a vehicle for fraud

  8. He also lists everything at £1.00 start but his second picture is a ridiculously low price and e-mail / phone number so the unaware or greedy ring and pay a deposit to secure. Can't imaging how Ebay let this go on constantly...
