Fitted new wheel bearings to two gold 18 inch FPS Pantah wheels (SKF 63004-2RS1 bearings), attached the cush-drive drum to the rear, cleaned up three 260mm iron brake discs and sprayed them black (masking off the friction areas), bolted the discs to the wheels with new stainless hex-bolts, ordered a pair of Pirelli Sport Demon tyres to go on them. Another job done.
Brrrrr, cold and rather damp, fucking weather. Was worth it for the chilli and chat though. She spoils me ^_^
The sun is shining, the roads are dry, I'm not working, I've got two lovely bikes at my disposal (albeit one with a dodgy clutch) - and I can't ride either cos my knees are crocked
No, but I need to back them out of the shed, and that's just too painful. I need to earn a living more than I need to ride a bike, so it's feet up for the weekend and hope I'm okay for monday:frown:
Well so far this morning I've been on here for a bit, watched Scott & Bailey, BSB and Celebrity Juice which were all recorded this week. In 40 mins I am off to take SWMBO to Leeds before going further north to see my olds. Then later this afternoon I'll be picking her back up coming home and will be playing with my 1yo grandson who's coming to stay for the night.
off to Thruxton for a bit of Ducati hospitality thanks to MR - just started raining and doesn't look like stopping
Lucky you, hope you have a fab day, look out for my mate riding sidecar !! Drowne / Edwards, looking forward to seeing them tomorrow.
Have a look out for True Heroes Racing when you're there. There's a chap called Murray Hambro who was injured in Afghan, and is now a double amputee. He's racing in the Triumph Triple Challenge, and an inspirational character. The Team was started by, and run by a Navy mate of mine - I'm really looking forward to seeing them tomorrow
Tidying the shed so I can fill it with more stuff from the garage.Suprising what turns up when having a sort out.Enough stuff to keep me busy on eBay for weeks.
Sealing the bathroom walls with PVA for the plasterer, then off to see the Lions at Wembley. Typing this now, as I'll be too inebriated later!
Recovering... Yesterday rode to Ayr and back, just got back into Carlisle and the bike threw the chain at 40mph coming off a fairly large roundabout and locked the back wheel up.... Battled with the forces of gravity and inertia and somehow won, got it stopped, upright, put the chain back on and it happened again 40 meters down the road. Walked home, got my tools, drove back, tightened the chain and got the thing home, walked back to the car and got that home too. I then went out and got very drunk in celebration of being alive!
Just back from a cold wet ride to the boys at Moto Rapido for my map upgrade and pick up the new heat shield for the exhaust n its a carbon one.....mmmm.....carbon...will look to fit that soon
Think the eccentric hub has somehow moved in the swingarm so the sprocket is about 3mm out of alignment. Looks like there's some tooth damage happened aswel will have to strip it all down and find out what's going on. Sat on the side of a road with tools and a hammer you'd have thought someone would have stopped to ask what was wrong or ask me if I was stealing the thing. But no.
popped down to the guys at italia moto in lincoln to pick up my bits i ordered last week rather tasty 851 on a stand in showroom hmm
