DUP conference: Arlene Foster to reaffirm opposition to Brexit deal The party has said it will not support the arrangements for Northern Ireland negotiated by the prime minister as it "creates a border in the Irish Sea". The DUP has said it will wait until Monday before giving its response to Mr Johnson's call for a general election. The DUP leader added that Mr Johnson appeared at her party's annual conference in 2018 and made "very clear commitments", but has not "stood by those commitments". https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-50189349
You lose Portboy..... In all seriousness though can you tell why you would vote for these people? I can’t understand it and I obviously need educating. Serious question.
beauty is in the eye of the beholder, hang on where have i said i will be voting for these people or any other people come to that. What you do need to do is stop presuming.
For balance Abbott might well be crap but since she has never held office thats not certain. Theresa May was a cabinet minister for years and then PM. A spectacular failiure at everything she touched. Did you vote Tory and will you continue to do so?
Brexit election: Lib Dems and SNP plan to force earlier poll https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-50194685 Is it just me that thinks they are pathetic, it looks like they will agree to a GE - but it has to be their idea.
No, it isn't just you, they're all pathetic, and these two suggesting a date 3 days earlier is just proof they're full of it. Only a few days ago Blackford was dead against the idea of voters having to go out on the 12th due to the time of year, now it seems that was just another piss and wind example from him. https://mobile.twitter.com/Channel4News/status/1187433357115842561 Having said all of this at least they're proposing to get one moving, better than labour hiding behind every excuse under the sun
Well some will obviously, but even less so for Labour given the polls which is why they're running scared of GE commitment, Or any commitment under Corbyns labour, that's why Lib Dems and SNP are now wanting to push forward to take votes off him. Once again Corbyns Labour have been left wanting, out manoeuvred, out of touch, out of ideas, out of their depth and out of their minds frankly.
True, Bearing in mind the last 4 years (maybe longer depending on your view) with the Tories ‘in charge’ - why would anyone vote for them either.
The SNP want a GE because they want to use it as a proxy indi referendum vote in Scotland and the LibDems want a GE because they want to use it as a proxy People’s Vote referendum and they both want it on 9th Dec as the students will still be at uni where they’re registered to vote and won’t have gone home where they’re quite possibly not registered to vote. As always everyone’s in it for themselves.
Argued the Corbyn point with a true Labourite just soon after he was made Labour leader. He is un electable. Carries so much baggage, has said and done too much that can be used against him. He is bereft of ideas, no real conviction, cannot think on his feet. And, best of all, he is so entrenched in not upsetting voters of any particular view point ( leave, stay, nationalise, privatise etc) that he drifts about with no clear commitment to any cause. Other than opposing, which he seems to make a speciality of. What does he truly think and believe in, no idea.. The Labour party has been its own worst enemy for several years now. Just think, party conference with Brexit at critical mass: their idea? 4 days working week. Eh ? cant make it up. Then Libdems. If your ok with just cancelling Brexit ( nice idea to some, but cloud cuckoo land not to have some kind of exit IMO) Jo Swinson just seems like another wet politician with a super narrow agenda who fails to inspire confidence. Going to make next election difficult as I will not vote Cons again. Got no trust in them.
