except swinsons seat isn't their no 1 target. but it would be funny if they won it back. lib dems always do well when they have a *cough* Scottish leader. they are targeting all seats but three seats in particular. Steven kers. Allister Jacks and David Mundels
She was on Marr this morning and he asked why a pact with the snp when her seat when her seat is a "key target" for the snp. I know you won't watch it fin as the video is in an express article but it also asks will she step down if she loses her seat https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1...al-election-Boris-Johnson-Lib-Dems-SNP-latest
Fluffies majority is wafer thin. If the Green voters had voted tactically, he would have lost to the SNP. hope Swinson loses her seat since she lives in Gloucestershire
it would be fantastic to see Swinson lose to anybody but Marr said it so it must be true. the greens arnt putting anybody forward for those three seats this time, along with a few others I think. and noob yer right. I wont be watching it even tho I pay for it.
The SNP could win every seat given that the Unionist vote will split between leave and remain. As opposed to last time when the vote split between YES and Ruthies Orange No (surrender)
Labour shy away from supporting pre-Christmas election plans http://news.sky.com/story/labour-shy-away-from-supporting-pre-christmas-election-plans-11847001 Corbyn (therefore Labour ?) will only support a GE is no deal is completely removed, even if extension is until end of Jan. I’d love to see them take no deal off the table (it can be reversed later ?) and say right, come on then. Would he just have a new excuse
here is a thread you might be interested in. if you scroll down you will find an archived copy https://twitter.com/fascinatorfun/status/1188468524186066944
Corbyn is not making an excuse not to hold an election. Corbyn is refusing to hold an election which would close parliament whereupon its possible/ likely that Blojob will then immediately use this as a way of sneaking a no deal through. For some reason they just don't trust him... Alan, Corbyn is not strictly against Leave. Labour as a party are pro Remain. Labour and Corbyn believe that the Referendum was badly worded, false promises were made in the campaigns and therefeore the people should have a second chance. They (Cobs & LAB) have said many times that they will accept the results of a confirmatory second ref regardless of the result. Note: Corbyn and Labour absolutely do not want a WTO/ no deal Leave Corbyn and Labours version of Leave is in no way similar to what Farage or @Loz want Corbyn and Labour could be lying about the second ref - personally I think that is unlikely. Edit: Comma added...
It's about time these second-rate politicians (ie, most of them) started being realistic about Brexit. There is no chance, and never was a chance, of getting a leaving deal from the EU that doesn't harm the UK. Thus the only options are getting a harmful deal or leaving without a deal. Except ... This point is moot. Most politicians don't wish to leave the EU - discussions of Brexit that don't hold that as a central premise are a waste of breath/pixels.
Why can't we point those in favour of "A people's vote" to this thread. They have their answer, front and centre. It would save all the palava of another referendum.
Of course they do, they are sore losers, hence why they want another chance at it without a leave option on the ballot paper.
Thanks for adding the comma, don’t want people knowing my true identity. I get that parliament don’t want to leave without a deal, but ‘taking it off the table’ to have a GE doesn’t stop it fully, unless I’m wrong that could be reversed by the new government (Brexit party). Who knows what Corbyn wants - isn’t that the problem. Perhaps we will get a better worded second referendum, leave / remain was difficult to understand. Unfortunately I think @Loz is right and a 2nd referendum won’t have leave as an option.
