British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  6. He's one of Boris' pals is he not?

  7. Neither. Typical grandstanding from a a PM well known for exageration and economy of truth.

Trite bastard given that his party are the ones presiding over a NHS which has scrapped targets in the UK after failing to hit any targets for more than 18 months with the exception of a hospital in Luton. On the four hour treatment waiting time no hospital emergency care unit in England has hit the target since 2015

I also think it would be difficult to reverse Scottish Devolution, and doubt even Blojob would attempt it.

  8. Not at all, I like Queenie. I think I said that before. I was just confirming your sentiment that there'd likely be some disruption if the Monarchy were removed and reminding others what happened a few years back when we still had coffers:D

  11. Removal from any governance function & close discussions with the PM over weekly policy making I doubt would upset the electorate. I think most people will be fine to keep some of them on as meet & greet service though cheaper than £86million a year ideally.

  12. What would there be instead, an elected President as head of State? If that were the case and if I were Queenie, I'd say do your own 'meeting & greeting' thank you very much:(

  13. Wanted / Jobs Vacant
    Meet & Greet team reqd.
    Salary £86million a year,
    Countless houses,
All meals cars, use of private train and aircraft, plus large art collection
Applications inc photo to No.10 Downing St...

  15. Bit different back then, Paul. You mentioned the existence of coffers back then but there are other important factors.

  16. With the number of MPs standing down (because they know they will be out of a job anyway and just want to hang onto their pensions rather than losing their deposits), there seems to be rather a lot of Tories that don't intend to stand.

Given the numbers of Tories leaving, Boris might be lucky if he has enough to win the election.
