A beautiful day so a walk/time in the garden,plus a friend came round for a chat which was nice and something for @Davebird
Well today started with me being in a grump. My landscape gardener was supposed to be here first thing to finish the garden project. As we were due to be taking out our daughter in law for her birthday lunch I rang him at 9.30 to see where he was. No response. I rang again at 10.30. No response. We had to leave the house by 11.30 to get to Leeds for 12.30. Having made an interim payment to him yesterday as an incentive to get him to come this morning and finish the job I had a feeling in my water that he might know I’d be pissed off with him and thought he may decide to rock up and take some of his gear away that he’d left in the back garden (including his cement mixer etc) so I parked the wife’s car across the drive, blocking the path to the back garden so he couldn’t take anything off site. Just in case. At 12.30 I finally got a text saying he couldn’t make it today as his wife had been called to work and he had to look after his two young sons........but he’d be with us tomorrow........what a fucking lame lie. He just couldn’t be arsed to come on a Sunday. Although his quality of work is good when he turns up I will be letting him know what I think of his piss poor actions and communication skills tomorrow and his final payment will now be delayed. Also I will not be recommending him to friends who have asked for his details. On the plus side we had lunch at fab Italian restaurant called Culto in Leeds, then we went for a walk with son, daughter-in-law and grandson in the Moortown community park (unfortunately our 7yo granddaughter was at a dance practice/rehearsal for a show she’s in).
Hopefully sold my main residence just got to wait for the formal offer in the morning. Back to the single life for me soon and this time it's staying that way.
orchid beautiful, my wife loves them we have a nice one on the kitchen window sill. she says the only grow for people if they are happy.

i put a new shaft, bushes and bearings in when i rebuilt the bike 5 (ish) years back. i removed it once to regrease about a year later no prob. when i tried to remove it this time, about 12? months back it wouldnt budge again despite using penetrating fluid on it for days. i finally got some movement after loads of bashing but now it wont go back to where it came from or out tother side.. its a cvnt...
@chizel you just have to buy a couple of Bridgedale socks, buy the summit extreme series and you will never have cold feet again, I have about 15 pair, never wear anything else, have the summer versions too!
