Don't leave out Hillary. Currently over here telling us how dangerous it is for foreign powers to meddle in other nations politics, whilst showing us how to meddle in other nations politics......man she's good
aparently there was some old codgers on newsnight the other nite telling us how we conquered half the plannet. along with expressing their views on rUK.
The must have been Tories exagerating as usual? British Empire was just under a quarter of the planets land & peoples.
there's views and theres facts Al. while successiv govs have been busy keeping us in our place, it apears england have been listioning.
The woman said she thought it was sad. TRUE The second guy said they (Scotland) can't finance themselves. Certainly not shown to be true AFAIK "If The United Kingdom finishes, the world will be finished in anycase" MORON
Finm’s clip ? I watched that sorry. I thought there was more to it. I’m guilty of not knowing much about the subject really. I think it would be a shame if Scotland left the U.K. but is that just an emotional thing, and for no real reason.
Me too, but I support the idea of the Scots being able to do so if they wish. I also support the idea of England being able to do the same though I don't want that either.
thisis one way of seeing the attitudes expressed in that program Al. https://weegingerdug.wordpress.com/2019/11/13/as-others-see-us/
Yes i don’t see why they shouldn’t at least see what the people of Scotland think. Going by the U.K. attempt to leave the EU do you think it should be another Indy referendum, and what if it is close - wouldn’t the same problem exist where you have almost half (say) that don’t want to leave. I do wonder if any Scots have been put off the idea of leaving the U.K. by the events of Brexit.
To be fair ‘look at what’s happened with Brexit’ could easily sway people I’d have thought. Especially ones that rely on MSM alone.
Scottish indi has a bigger trouble than we have because we are seeking to leave and then that's it. Scotland on the other hand, the snp are suggesting leaving something they have been part of for nearly 300 years? to then go alone, to then discuss joining another group whether that be efta or full eu. it's the bit in the middle that is the biggest issue because do they plan for an independent scotland or an independent scotland about to join the eu, both would require different approaches in infrastructure. It's a challenge to be sure
